The Looney Tunes™ Photoshoot
Posted under blog. 2:07 pm March 14, 2011While the Looney Tunes™ Collection has been keeping all of us at Alter Ego By Erika Walton very busy, we recently took a day to let loose. After deciding that I needed a lifestyle look book for the collection, I contacted photographer Morgan Demeter and my amazing friends to come together for the project!
Everyone was asked to come as they are – no makeup artist, no stylist – just real, wonderful people, wearing the new Erika Walton jewelry! No matter who was wearing the jewelry, it looked great, and every Looney Tunes™ character that was picked was fitting for everyone’s personal style.
My friends who joined me come from all over this crazy city. From actors to computer programmers, we had it all!
We started out the day with Jennifer Hall and James Pellitteri, fellow jewelry designers and founders of the oh so precious jewelry line jennyandjimbob.com. Afterwards, we moved on to the Alter Ego team, including Andy Sotura, my amazing project manager, and two of my interns, Megan Bea and Kassandra Bicol.
After this group, we changed locations and were joined by the lovely Jackie Tohn, singer/songwriter/actress/jack-of-all-trades-extraordinaire and Jes Hudak, two ladies who head up Powerfox and Ponymane. They were both such a blast! More actor friends joined as well, including Halleluyah Walcott and Mindy Stephan.
Whew! Then it was time for a break! We all sat outside in the beautiful Los Angeles sunlight and shared laughs, burritos, and a few Coronas. Perfect.
Back to work it was, as Ines Naouali, a young fan of the blog showed up looking like a cupcake in a frilly pink skirt. She was so cute I wanted to just eat her up! We also had to pleasure to spend time with my sweet friend Emily Bush, Popcorn Mafia’s Grae Drake, and Lindze Brock the creative director at CelebrityLoop.com.
What a fabulous group of people to spend such a beautiful day with! Everyone brought such a unique personality and look to the shoot, reminding me of what a wonderfully diverse city we live and work in. I can’t wait to share the photos with everyone!! Hold tight!
