Getting Lost In San Diego

12:03 pm March 7, 2011

Andy, Jen and I packed up and drove to San Diego for a fun in the sun mini-vacay. 4 traffic-filled hours later, we arrived at our hotel. We settled in our hotel and then posed as college kids partaking in the college-frat-party-it-up lifestyle. I couldn’t help but feel a little old. But after a few shots of cheap tequila, it was all good!

We took a 4 hour walk on Mission Bay which was really beautiful and serene. Later we gorged on nachos, burgers and some really good beer at Pacific Beach Ale House and laid out on the warm, sandy beach to relax. Too bad my sunscreen failed me terribly. I woke up to find a huge tan-lined hand print on my chest! I give farmer’s tan a whole new meaning!

After getting ready for a night on the town…the downtown, we checked out the shopping and both Andy and Jen got these super cool watches. We finished off the night with SUSHI and drinks. Perfect ending.

Driving back Sunday, we stopped by the Truck It Festival. They had a bunch of fancy, food trucks with cheap prices and good eats. I got a delicious falafel wrap and root beer, lemon-lime and bubble gum flavored, shaved ice. For an extra special treat, we tried a chocolate chip cookie, with strawberry and jalapeno, ice cream sandwich. What a mouthful, literally!

I bumped into my buddies Jenny & Jimbob selling tons of their super, creative charms. You gotta check ‘em out. http://jennyandjimbob.com/

Now starting the beginning of the workweek. Lots to do, but I am looking forward to another Truck It Festival next month. Fancy food trucks and cool jewelry? See ya there!

We’re hunting both for blogs and forums which give third party, sensible feedback in many troubles as well as weblogs who have a open-handed or even left-wing inclination. Thank you so much..
